What we are going to do is politically discuss the issues related to gun control.

Emphatically no. Never once did it ever do that.

Below are several studies that can be researched on the Internet yourself that document the fact that gun control never reduces crime.

In 1996 New Jersey passed what was considered to be the most stringent gun laws in the USA. Two years later their murder rate went up 46% and their robbery rate about doubled.

In 1968 Hawaii passed harsh gun laws. At the time of the legislation their murder rate was 2.4 per 100,000 per year. Nine years later their murder rate had tripled to 7.2 per 100,000.

In 1976 they passed a major gun control law. They even stopped people from owning guns in their homes. Their murder rate went up 134% while the USA rate for murder dropped 2%.

They have some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the world. All sales of any sort of gun are restricted and tightly controlled. 20% of all armed robberies in the USA are committed in New York City and they do not have anywhere close to 20% of the population. This is what happens when the criminals know a certain population is unlikely to be unable to defend themselves.

Each of these cities has accomplished a virtual ban on the private ownership of guns. The Washington D.C laws are being fought out in the appellate courts at present. These four cities have 20% of the homicides in the USA yet they only make up 6% of the USA population. This means that restrictive gun control leads to a tripling of the homicide rate. Some one is going to say wait the population in these areas is why the murder rate is so high. Fine we can look at Arlington, Virginia which is a city right across the Potomac River from Washington D.C with sensible gun control laws so the population base should not be that different. Their murder rate is 10% of Washington D.C. (7.0 murders per 100,000 people versus 77.8 murders per 100,000 people in Washington D.C). We can also look to Virginia Beach, Va. a nearby city of 400,000. They have sensible gun laws allowing for easy access to firearms and their murder rate is 4.1 per 100,000.

– In the USA in a given year law abiding citizens kills 2,000 to 3,000 criminals. They also wound another 9,000 to 17,000 criminals a year. This is a reduction in the load of violent crimes the government must arrest, detain, prosecute and imprison. It also sends a strong signal to the other would be criminals. Criminals worry far more about an encounter with an armed law abiding citizen than a policeman. Police are most likely going to be polite about asking the criminal to drop their weapon and submit. The citizen in fear of protecting himself and his family is going to be much more prone to firing his weapon than a police officer. Criminals’ greatest fear is running into an armed victim when committing a crime. This was based on a study of 1874 felons from 10 states. In this study 38% of these felons said at least one time they had been scared off, shot at or wounded by an armed victim. Only 1% of the time do criminals take a gun away from a victim, yet 10% of the police officers that are shot, are shot with their own guns. Police officers are slow to shoot and the criminals know this and thus are more fearful of an armed citizen. Private citizens kill three times as many criminals as police do. Remember if someone is assaulting you or robbing you or your house the police will likely only be taking a report not encountering the criminals. It is the citizen who needs all the help and assistance of weapons to survive the criminal encounter.

Fear! They are afraid of losing control over the population. The prefect state of affairs for a police state is the confiscation of all privately owned firearms. Then the possibility of an overthrow of the government goes down by about 99.9%. They never want partial gun controls like only machine guns or “assault type weapons” to be banned. They want all the privately owned guns gone. The partial gun control is the Salami theory. You keep cutting a slice away until there is nothing left. The only reason for gun control is to make room for a totalitarian government, nothing else. Sometime there are people ignorantly confused who support gun control thinking it will do something to make the world a safer place to live. Play with these people and say when the government disarms then you will. Tell them to chase the government and tell them to have the government give up their guns for police leaving only the military armed. Use the British Bobbies who used to be unarmed as an example. Tell them the Cayman Island and Nassau police are unarmed. Have them call for the disarming of the police. Play with them. Have fun. Every time the police shoot someone accidentally tell them to call for the disarming of the police.

– Well Obama showed it to you recently. They were starting to introduce gun control bills again. We do not know how aggressively they will push them this time. Nothing in these bills will do any practical good in terms of reducing crime, not a single thing. They also increase the penalties each time. So if it would happen what would it look like. OK there would be a bill that say banned all assault weapons. The bill would say the attorney General can add any gun to the list he wanted. Over time he would keep adding guns to test the public response. The banned guns would be prohibited from being sold at first. They would leave .22 caliber single shot rifles and single shot shotguns until the end to satisfy the call for hunting guns. Then the banned guns would become illegal to own even if they were grandfathered in, registered whatever. This would be something like turn them in or face 20 years in prison for each gun plus a 0,000 fine for each gun. I am serious on the penalties.

No one would be coming to anyone’s house to collect the guns for a long time. They would wait for someone to get shot with a .22 caliber gun and then say these too need to be banned. They always love to call for new restrictive laws after a shooting crime. Do that back to them. Every time you see the police abuse a person with a taser call for them to be banned and not used by the police. They will soon stop when their own tactics gets turned on them. Now the people have their guns and they can run around quoting Charleston Heston and his out of my cold dead hands slogan. The next stage is anytime the local police get into a house like to respond to a burglary, a domestic abuse call, a noisy party anything and they see the guns then someone gets to go to jail for a long time. The word soon gets out. If you think the people that own guns are going to like get together, carry guns and march on Washington D.C. armed to the teeth to demand gun laws be repealed you need to get some counseling. You will never see this. If anything like this were ever going to happen it would have happened in 1968 with the first serious federal gun control law. This came on the heels of the Kennedy assassination. What did that have to do with gun control laws anyway?

          ]]>

I am going to say some things about how it used to be. If any of you find this too wild to be true verify it. Find old issues of Guns and Ammo magazines and read the ads. You were able to buy guns mail order across state lines before 1968. There were a few states that prohibited this but that was it. You were able to buy machine guns fairly easily. You were able to freely buy what they call destructive devices. Boys ant-tank rifles (Boys was a manufacturers name) were being sold for .00 with bipods and all. The ads used to say for the jackrabbit that got away. This rifle fires a .51 caliber round that is effective on lightly armored tanks. Bazookas were a mail order item as were mortars. Armor piercing ammo was freely available until the late 1970’s or early 1980’s. They had lovely armor piercing fully jacketed .45 auto rounds that would pierce engine blocks, let alone bullet resistant vests. Guns were not registered except for a few states and cities that did this. Those yellow forms came along with the 1968 gun control law. This was when guns were fairly well available and by mail order. An armed society is a polite society. Criminals are not polite.

– We will now address how the people will be likely to respond. This is hypothetical and based on speculation only. No one can predict what the people will do with any accuracy including the government. There are many mitigating circumstances that will come to bear on the hearts and minds of those affected.

In this hypothetical scenario the people in our opinion are going to not physically resist new guns laws instead just sort of go with the flow and verbally oppose them only, for the most part. They will bury their guns and ammo in the woods. They will hide them inside the walls, under the floorboards etc. They will say things like well when the time comes etc. Eventually the local police will start arresting people when they discover the guns in vehicles, in houses, informants (the maid, the plumber, the cable TV guy, the alarm company guy) tell them about them and so forth. These people will be arrested and get probably 10 years for each gun plus massive fines like 0,000 for each gun. There will be calls for amnesty asking people to just turn the guns in and walk away free. Many will do this out of fear. There will be no revolutionary forces to join and resist. After a year or two there will be raids on houses. They will use devices to see images behind the sheetrock. They will use metal detectors in the yards and land.

When they find a gun after the owner does not turn it over when they show up they will throw the book at the person. They will take his family as accomplices. All will be in jail for many years. The fines will cause them to lose their homes, cars and assets. They will be destroyed completely. Only thing worse would be to kill them. Those with guns hidden in the woods will be questioned as to where their guns are. They will probably be charged with some crime for not reporting a stolen gun within 72 hours, which is found in HR 45 the latest gun control bill (not law yet). So when they say the guns were lost or stolen they get charged with the crime of not reporting this and get serious jail time for each gun. Gun registration is the prelude to the confiscation, nothing else.

The reporting the lost and stolen guns in 72 hours is the fix against you saying you lost the guns when they come to take them away. Those with unregistered guns will be able to hide them in the woods. There are many ways to do this securely and preserve the firearm. If the weapon is wiped free of prints and any blood like from getting pinched by the slide (think DNA) then this person should be safe if the weapons are found and not traceable to him in any way. What good is it doing them to have the guns buried in the woods? It is just a psychological game they are playing with themselves. Once a man came to Confucius and said I had a jar full of money buried in the woods. I went to dig it up to check on it and the money was gone. What should I do? Confucius said put rocks in the jar, bury it again and make believe the money is still there. It would be very dangerous for these people to even go and check on their weapons and they probably never will. I do not think there will be any rising up of gun owners. They are not going to engage the police in active firefights to keep their guns. The guns will just go away and the police state will be in full swing.

Police do not see their role in the police state correctly or even close to it. They miss the bigger picture. To them it is a status job, the pay is good and the perks are big. Police and their families get out from traffic tickets. Ask any law enforcement officer you may know well. This includes spouses, children, brothers, sisters, and parents. In many departments they even have little gold and silver courtesy badges they give their relatives. The police and their families get favorable treatment with accident reports, ouch if you are the other driver. They have a lot of favorable treatment letting them get away with things regular people do not get away with. They usually cannot get away with major crimes. Police carry guns all over the USA without a carry permit. They can carry on airplanes if they are Federal Officers. They can carry guns in government buildings, in stadiums, schools etc.

If they are in their own jurisdiction they can get away with anything short of major felonies with victims. Police like this treatment. It gives them status and pride. It teaches them there are only three classes of people. The ruling class to them is not the Federal Reserve Bank; they would not know what that is. It is the senators, congressmen, mayors, supervisors, judges etc. They know these people can exert their power and influence and make their life miserable in many ways. They leave these people alone. Then there are police, which they always leave alone. Then come you the citizen. You pay their salary and they have no respect for you. You do not matter in that you have no power to do anything against them and you cannot retaliate. They are there to control you. The Taser is the latest police state tactic to be adopted. If a person doe not verbally snap to and respond to a verbal command of a police officer like get out of the car, stand here, sit down, move here etc they taser them.

The police do not know they are conditioning the populace to respond to the police blindly without thinking or face painful consequences. I do not really know what they think. I guess they think it is proper to demand such respect and control over those they are supposed to protect. Most people that get tasered are involved in a victimless non-violent crime. This makes it worse. The police are not aware of any of this. They are in their own little world. They do not worry too much about the financial crisis in that they think there will always be work for them. Wait until the layoffs sink in later this year. Their attitude will change for the worse. They will do anything their handlers ask to keep their jobs. The police do not think they are there to protect and serve. They are there to control the populace and protect the ruling class and each other. Can you remember when police had nice government service looking uniforms, revolvers, long wooden sticks and helped people change flat tires. Now they look like storm troopers, wear black uniforms and masks, never help anyone with anything, have high tech weapons and strike fear and terror into the hearts of those that have contact with them. This is not being done by chance it is planned to strike fear into you of the police who used to be there to serve you. The police used to be hard on armed robbers, rapists, burglars, muggers and real criminals. Now most of the people in the prisons are there for crimes that are victimless. A government statue is not a victim.

Well this is something they do not consider. Let us say gun control has been accomplished and private ownership of guns is historical. So the people are no longer a threat. Who will the paranoid rulers fear next? They are always paranoid because they do not rule by popular support. Ever see the army of bodyguards they have now, this is nothing. You got it, the police and military is what they will fear the most. They have the weapons, the access, the association potential to organize etc. Imagine police leaving their guns in their lockers when going off shift. This is how it will be. No private guns for police anymore. Internal security investigations will become a lifestyle.

There will not be any more lawsuits against the government. The Internal Security Forces will be super cops trained to resent the police, take advantage of them and rule them by fear and harshness. What the police do the population now, is what the internal security forces will do to the police then only worse since there will not be any consequences for their actions. There will be mandatory polygraph exams. Long interrogations. Police homes and cars being searched. Their phones and email being tapped. They will be followed. Other police constantly being questioned about their colleagues. The role model is the SS Hitler had. Remember who tried to kill Hitler, the military on several occasions. The military will also be handled harshly but they are much more easily controlled due to the nature of the military but their internal security forces will constantly be engaged in a war of terror against them.

The internal security forces will have to get results or else they will be considered ineffective so one way or another they will be discovering sedition, spying, attempts to revolt, steal, commit criminal acts etc. The police will be policed very harshly. They will in turn be harsh towards the population. The police do not see any of this coming. The Federal Police are in the same boat as the local police. They will become more and more entrusted to police the police and protect the state as time goes on. There will not be much point in protecting the state from an unarmed populace so guess who they will focus on – the others who can have access to guns – the military and police. The internal security forces the federal police have will rein terror on them as well. They will have to uncover plots to keep their jobs and show they serve a purpose. Doom and gloom.

– In our opinion no. We ascribe to the breaking up of the USA due to financial collapse similar to the USSR in the 1980’s. It looks like Obama is afraid to push forward with gun control legislation just now. This can be a ruse while they work hard to get it passed quietly without opposition until it is too late but unlikely. Obama has to maintain order in the face of the financial collapse, which is already happened, and getting worse by the day. New opposition from 25 million gun owners is not something him and Billary need right now. The countries in the world do not trust the US and their dollar and they are working fast to replace the dollar as the world reserve currency.

Anything like this will hurt the USA and throw them into hyperinflation. The USA will have to start buying foreign currency to make purchases abroad and the exchange rate will be bad for the USD. Gun control is a slow freight train that takes years to effect even from where they are today. The USA Government is really fighting for its continued existence and hoping to keep its role as a superpower and the world’s policeman. I would say they have two chances – slim and none. They destroyed themselves with their idiotic greedy monetary practices. The descriptive term should be – Dead Country Walking.

Taking away guns from citizens may be well intentioned but it could rob away people’s rights to defend themselves. There are rising concerns from various stakeholders that guns should not just be the reserve for law enforcers and criminals. (Goodman, 2004)Ordinary citizens need to have the ability to protect themselves too. The essay shall examine both sides of the coin and recommendations given on the matter.

The United States is one of the countries with the highest crime rates in the world. In response to this crisis, legislators have instituted laws that attempt to restrict gun ownership. Additionally, many politicians will be heard rallying against mass ownership of guns within the country. The latter group may seem as though they are committing just acts through their avocations. However, their intentions are quite misplaced; most of them simply want to impress the public by appearing to be tackling the problem. If the United States was to restrict gun ownership among citizens, then the latter will look for another method of killing. These legislators ought to realize that it is the human being behind that trigger that causes death. Consequently, if guns were outlawed or severely restricted, then criminals would just look for another method of killing. For instance, they could use fire, bombs, knifes among other items. It is therefore illogical to limit gun use yet guns are simply tools used to commit killings. It is the person using the gun who must be stopped. (Murray, 2000)

Citizens should have the right to own guns because if owning a gun was made illegal, then criminals or persons will ill intentions would look for more destructive methods of killing. For instance, bombs would be on the rise and would therefore cause intense harm to vast surroundings or persons who had not done anything wrong. Besides this, guns usually target specific individuals and may not cause as much disarray as other weapons do. The fact of the matter is that murder will not come to a halt because guns have been eliminated. (Goodman, 2004)

There is a basic assumption that most of the people who own guns, plan on committing evil with it. However, guns are sources of recreation in many parts of the country. Usually, rifles are utilized to shoot down ducks and other related animals. In other instances, guns are used to hunt for game meat and they contribute to family sustenance because individuals can access meat rather than purchase it. This is an important way of cutting down food costs. (Murray, 2000)

If law enforcers were the only ones allowed to own guns and the rest of the population was left unarmed, then chances are that criminals would have an easier time invading homes. They would access guns illegally and the rest of the law abiding citizens would have to contend with higher crime rates, greater loss of lives and more loss of property. The truth of the matter is that everything in nature always looks for the path with the least resistance. Potential criminals would be more attracted to crime if they knew that their potential victims have no mechanisms for defending themselves. The overall result would be greater crime rates. In fact, research has indicated that the presence of guns among the populace creates fear in some criminals and prevents them from committing crime. In the year 1997, the Washington Times reported the case of a store owner known as Mr. Choi at Minnesota Avenue. This man was courageous enough to shoot the assailant and he thus saved his family. Although the store owner under consideration had illegally acquired the gun, he was not prosecuted for this. The officer in charge testified for Choi claiming that criminals would definitely be deterred from that convenience store because they would know that there was the danger of being shot by its owner. The media also has numerous stories about persons who protected themselves and their families through guns. For example, there is the case of a grandmother who protected herself against four men in Moses Lake, Orlando. There was the case of a church leader in Arizona who shot a robber and many other scenarios of honest people who protected their right to life and property through guns.

          ]]>

In lien with the latter, argument, numerous records by the National Rifle Association, the US state Department of Justice and the media have depicted statistics of cases in which hardworking and honest people have protected themselves from guns. Here is a summary of the figures

Cases of rape or robbery that have been halted through guns-65%
Cases where guns have worsened the situation-9%
Cases of people who have caused injuries to themselves using knives instead of guns-34%
Number of crimes that require self defense annually-200, 000 cases annually

These numbers indicate the fact that guns are a crucial part of the country’s self defense system. The fact that close to sixty five percent success rates have been recorded in robberies or rape cases where victims used guns indicate that guns are actually quite useful in protecting lives and property. Even those who claim that guns actually worsen the situation by actually hurting the victim or killing a wrong person have little evidence to support them because only nine percent of all the self defense cases have been categorized as such. Even those who opt to use knives to protect themselves would have a more difficult time because thirty four percent of such cases report self injury on the part of the victim. The percentage of victims who hurt themselves while using guns is less than half of this amount. Consequently, one can assert that guns are actually more useful than those respective proponents may imagine. (Murray, 2000)

If everyone was allowed to own guns, then cases of mistaken identity or trigger happy citizens would be on the rise. In the year 1988, US media was splashed with the astounding case of a Mr. Carl Rowan. The latter had been accused of first degree murder after killing a teenage boy with a pistol in the middle of the night. What had happened was that Mr. Rowan thought that the intruder was a dangerous criminal as he was at his backyard. However, it turned out that the supposed intruder was a young boy who just wanted to take a swim at the accused’ swimming pool. The court found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to death. Such an incident goes to show that not everyone has the responsibility and discipline necessary to own and use a gun. It would therefore be dangerous to place so much power in the hands of reckless individuals such as Mr. Rowan. (Mashek, 2008)

Although certain people may argue that it is people who commit the murderous acts and not guns, it becomes unreasonable to ignore the fact that greater crime rates are recorded in areas with high access to guns. When people have greater access to guns, then they are more likely to use them and this would cause greater loss of lives. It should be noted that society’s moral standards have deteriorated, things are not the way they used be some fifty years ago. Many teenagers come from broken homes, abuse drugs and nurse a lot of anger within. Consequently, if such persons access a tool that they can use to vent out their frustrations on, than chances are that those teenagers would continue to misuse guns and other such tools. For example, a student at Virginia Tech used a gun to make statements against his peers in his school and ended up killing a number of his colleagues. Such a tragedy would not have occurred if this teenager had not accessed a gun. Statistics show that a substantial number of killings occur in areas with high gun availability. Since there is a relationship between these two aspects, then it would be wise to eliminate this tool. (Mashek, 2008)

Many people believe that US citizens have a ‘siege’ mentality and this is actually true. For instance, it is quite easy to purchase a gun in the United States than if one was in another country such as Ireland. Most of the problems that emanate from the need to defend oneself in the US are actually caused by the tools used in self defense; guns. If the country was very strict with the level of availability of guns, if they restricted purchasing mechanisms and also if they instituted heavy penalties for those persons with guns, then it would be more difficult for potential criminals to commit crimes because they would have to resort to difficult methods of killing such as knives. Things such as knives would make crimes fewer because they give the victim leverage to fight off the attacker. Additionally, the criminal would have to be very hardened to kill someone who they can see up close. This would not eliminate all crimes but it would make it difficult to commit them hence minimizing them in the end. (Mashek, 2008)

Guns should be restricted because the very nature of guns makes committing crimes a very easy thing to do even for the relatively inexperienced. The United States has recorded numerous cases of teenage suicides most of which have been committed using guns. The reason behind this is that suing a gun is quite easy. It does not need a lot of skill or expertise in crime as do other weapons such as bombs or knives. Also, guns are very convenient to use, they only require the push of a trigger and just like a jock, the crime has occurred. This means that people using them may not take the time to think about what there are doing. Those who may be overtaken by emotion may rush to the gun instead of confronting their problems head on. For instance, if two people get into a heated argument and it happens that each of them have guns, then there is always the imminent danger that they might use them. (Mashek, 2008)

Considerable evidence has indicated that guns have protected people from assailants. Consequently, they cannot be ignored as important self defense weapons. Additionally, guns are mere tools of destruction; the real problem is with society. Bunning guns or prohibiting guns to the military and the police force would only cause criminals to look for other means of committing crimes. This is why crime rates are much higher in the US than in Canada yet both have similar laws on possession of guns. The problem is that morality in society has deteriorated to such an extent that individuals can use any methodologies to commit crime. It is therefore necessary to allow the populace access to guns since the serve a useful purpose and would only be replaced by something else if prohibited.

The guns used in Airsoft are typically replicas of real firearms. can be divided into three groups by what powers them: spring powered, electric powered, and gas-powered.

Spring Powered

Spring-powered airsoft guns are single-shot devices that use elastic potential energy (EPE) stored in a spring to compress air to launch an airsoft pellet down the barrel of the gun. The user must cock a spring gun prior to each shot. This is typically achieved by pulling back the slide (pistols), bolt (rifles), or the grip on a shotgun, which in turn compresses the spring and makes the gun ready to fire. Because of this, these guns are by definition incapable of automatic or semi-automatic fire. Spring-powered airsoft guns are generally not as powerful as gas and electric models, although some spring shotguns and sniper rifles can be very powerful and shoot at velocities of 400–1000 FPS. These are not hard to find and are generally inexpensive, and don’t usually last long because of the tension created by a powerful spring.

While most electric guns also use springs for propulsion of the airsoft pellet, they are not considered to be in the same category as the single-shot spring-powered guns. Low-end spring guns tend to be much cheaper than their electric-powered equivalents due to their simplicity and lack of electrical components (spring assembly, electric motor, battery, and battery charger) and thus are widely available. These guns are less suited for competition because they are at a disadvantage against automatic guns in close combat and do not provide enough accuracy and power for long-range use. There are some exceptions, however, as higher-end spring-powered airsoft rifles can be quite expensive; these guns are typically suited for “marksman” applications in airsoft matches and provide competitive muzzle velocities. Additionally, pump shotguns are sometimes used, especially in CQB (Close Quarters Battle). In colder weather, spring pistols are more reliable than gas-powered pistols and even the batteries on AEPs (Automatic Electric Pistols) both of which can be adversely affected by extreme cold.

This represents one of the major advantages of spring-powered airsoft gun, as it can be fired in any situation, without reliance on an external source of power, such as batteries or gas. The lack of reliance on external power sources causes some players to favor spring powered guns. Spring guns are also less susceptible to the effects of water, where a battery-powered gun could malfunction when wet.

Spring-powered weapons are often cheaper than electric or gas powered weapons. They are also more readily available in most department stores. Because of their price and availability, spring guns tend to act as “training guns” to bring new players to airsoft games and are considered the primary weapon of “backyard skirmishes”. Almost all airsoft players at some point owned a spring weapon, whether for its actual use in the sport or for the replica value since some airsoft weapons are only available as spring versions.

Electric Guns

Electric guns, in their varying forms, use an electrically powered gearbox to compress a spring, which, when released, propels the pellet out of the barrel.

Automatic electric guns

An illustration of the working of a Version 2 gearbox

Electric-powered airsoft guns typically use a rechargeable battery to drive an electric motor, which cycles an internal piston/spring assembly in order to launch pellets. Automatic, 3 round burst, and semi-automatic operation is possible which gives these guns the popular name “automatic electric guns” or AEGs. These guns often attain muzzle velocities between 150 and 650 ft/s and rates of fire of between 100 and 6000 rounds per minute. They are the most commonly used and widely available type of .

          ]]>

These type of guns were developed in Japan and the Japanese company Tokyo Marui dominates the market. In a Tokyo Marui AEG, the motor drives a series of 3 gears mounted inside a gearbox. The gears then compress a piston assembly against a spring. Once the piston is released, the spring drives it forward through the cylinder to push a pellet into the chamber, through the barrel, and forward from the muzzle. Many manufacturers have now more or less replicated this basic model, adding reinforced parts or minor improvements. These guns are powered primarily by nickel metal hydride (NiMH) with varying voltages and milliampere hours ratings. The most common battery is an 8.4 V large battery (between 2200-5000 mAh.) Also available are “mini” and “stick” batteries, which generally have 900-1600 mAh capacities. Voltages for NiMH batteries range from 7.2 V, all the way up to 12 V. The rule of thumb usually is the higher the mAh, the longer the battery lasts while the higher voltage, the higher Rate of Fire (RoF). Recently, however, Lithium-Polymer, or Li-po, batteries are becoming more popular in the airsoft world. These batteries can last longer and have higher mAh and Volts while at the same time, being small and light. Li-po batteries are usually at 11.1 V or 7.4 V and at varying mAh from 500 mAh to 6500 mAh.

External modifications, such as metal bodies and reinforced plastics that make AEGs look and feel even more realistic, have become very popular. AEG manufacturers such as Classic Army and Tokyo Marui produce replicas that are visually nearly identical to their real counterparts. Tokyo Marui, however, sticks with a durable ABS plastic, whereas Classic Army features full metal bodied guns and stronger furnishings. Most AEGS produced as of late are designed to be as visually realistic as possible.

The three most common AEGs on the field are the AR-15 series (M16 rifle, M4 carbine, etc.; sometimes referred to as the ArmaLite or Colt series), the Heckler & Koch MP5 series, and the AK or Kalashnikov series. Also increasing popular is the Heckler & Koch G36 and more recently, FN P90. Subsequently numerous parts for repairs and modifications are commonly available for these rifles.

Gas Powered Airsoft Guns

Gas-powered airsoft guns use pressurized gas to propel pellets. These guns are capable of automatic and semi-automatic operation. The most common gases used are “green gas” (which consists of a mixture of propane and a polysiloxane lubricant) and HFC-134a. Less commonly used gases include “red gas” (which is actually HCFC-22), CO2 and nitrogen/high pressure air. Red gas is usually avoided unless the airsoft gun has undergone modification, as its relatively high critical pressure can cause damage to the airsoft gun, such as breakage of the slide or bolt. CO2, nitrogen, and high pressure air are less common because they need to be stored at higher pressures than “green gas” or HFC-134a.

The first ever gas powered airsoft guns were commonly referred to as ‘classic’ guns, owing to their age. These guns were most commonly powered by liquid propellants such as R-12 (Which was marketed by the Japanese as FLON-12 or brand name Freon-12) Freon feed system with a majority of the configurations containing two tanks, one containing the R-12 and one used as an expansion tank, and the gun itself. R-12 was commonly used in car air conditioning systems. It is also illegal in some states and parts of the world because it is not environmentally friendly. Later users modified these old guns to be powered by regulated CO2 canisters or nitrogen/high pressure air bottles to increase power and consistency. However, these guns have largely been superseded by the newer and more versatile AEGs, or automatic electric guns. One of the reasons for this is because the most commonly available propellant, R-12, is costly. Additionally, at high flow rates, liquid propellants tend to cool down, eventually freezing. As cooldown progresses, the rate of fire gradually decreases until the gun ceases operation. The user would then be forced to wait for the propellant to warm up again. CO2 is not affected as badly by this tendency, and nitrogen/high pressure air is immune to it. Furthermore, if liquid propellant is introduced into the gun’s mechanism, rubber parts can freeze and eventually damage the gun. However, it is unlikely for this to occur since once the gas is released from the containing cylinder it instantly turns back into its gaseous state, and expands rapidly. It is doubtful whether the retained pressure behind the pellet before it begins to accelerate down the barrel is enough to keep the gas in a liquid form. Also, any gun that is expected to be exposed to the intense cold of de-pressurizing gas should have materials that can handle it.

Gas power tends to be used in airsoft pistols where size constraints make electric-powered mechanisms impractical. Other instances where gas is favored are where adjustable velocities are required or where a blowback feature is desired. A blowback feature is a mechanism which cycles a slide or bolt to better simulate a real firearm’s operation. Because of the mechanical complexities involved with distributing and regulating gas, these guns have largely given way to electric guns for less specialized applications, however, they still remain favorable amongst some airsofters. They are not just limited to pistols; submachine gun airsoft replicas and sniper rifle airsoft replicas commonly use gas mechanisms. Whilst the submachine gun replicas typically feature a blowback mechanism similar to the pistol replicas, sniper rifle replicas usually omit the blowback mechanism in favor of reduced recoil and increased muzzle velocity.

Along with using gas to power guns, it is also applied for use in replica grenades. These grenades are both projectiles, fired from a grenade launcher such as the M203 or GP-25, or throwable. The shells work on the system of an internal piston, filled with gas. Either a series of pellets or in some cases a rubber or soft foam head is seated in or on top of the shell. When the pressure is released the projectile(s) are shot from the launcher sent downrange.

In the case of the throwable grenades, inside the grenade there is a similar piston to the one used in the shells, but is on a literal “timer” that allows the user to clear the area of effect. Pellets or powder act as the projectile in the case of these grenades. Currently both types of grenades are not very common, mostly because grenade launchers are quite expensive and the throwable grenades are not very reliable.

Classic Guns

guns are usually older variety which are gas powered. Unlike the gas pistols of today, they can run on either an internal tank using conventional airsoft gas or use an external CO2 tank much like a paintball gun. They generally cost more than the standard AEG but provide a more realistic approach to airsoft. Some models, such as those made by the Sun Project, feature a type of “recoil” provided by these guns. While these guns can become more powerful than AEGs, almost all users operate them at AEG power. These replicas often are fitted with a LRB (Long Range Barrel) instead of a traditional hop-up unit. The LRB turns the entire barrel into a hop-up system, giving a consistent spin on the BB. The rate of fire on these can be regulated by the amount of air being fed through the system, versus the motor strength of an AEG.

Hop-Up

The “Hop” system, which is installed in most stock airsoft rifles and pistols, is used to add extra range to the pellets, by putting backspin on each as it is fired. This operates through a small rubber nipple, which protrudes into the top of the barrel through a small hole. Adjusting the Hop-Up makes the nipple vary in size, so that backspin is increased or reduced. Ideally, the Hop-Up should be adjusted so that the pellets fly as far as possible in a straight line. The Hop-Up adjustment is usually relatively easy to access, so that players can adjust it during play. On the majority of airsoft guns it is located underneath the innate bolt cover, but sometimes is only accessible by an Allen key.

Upon first blush, it may seem a bit backward to buy a hand gun only to turn around and buy a hand gun safe. Many have debated the merits of such a move, but the truth is that law makers have been on the lark for some time now trying to crack down on gun ownership. The current author of this article lives in an “open-carry” state, thankfully, which means that citizens can walk around like the old gunslingers: guns hanging off a gun belt in plain sight. That being said, being a father and concerned with theft and accidental discharge, he also can see the wisdom in keeping hand guns – and all firearms – out of harm’s way and out of curious little fingers. Even if you don’t have children, the thought of a burglar walking away with your hard-earned pistols or other weapons and valuables is untenable.

One of the chief concerns amongst gun owners is a common-sense question: what would you do in case you needed your gun in an emergency, and your gun was locked in a safe? That’s a great question, and one that everyone needs to come to terms with on their own. Owning a pistol or any firearm for protection is a 2nd Amendment Constitutional right, not a privilege, so that being the case, the question remains – is it a smart idea to keep your guns in plain sight? Play it forward a minute and ask yourself if a thief were to come in and find your pistol in plain sight, or were to break in stealthily and were to find a gun kept “hidden” – then someone from the family walks in the room. The situation would be that the thief is now armed with your weapon.

Keeping a gun for protection is a great idea, and keeping it in a hand gun safe is a better idea, but what about the speed of access? What about fumbling around for a key, or trying to remember the combination if you don’t do well under pressure? The answer may be to simply buy a fingerprint gun safe. By keeping your pistol at the ready in a fingerprint gun safe, you will have easier access to your weapon(s) in case of emergency, with no chance of losing your access because of a mis-placed key or a forgotten combination.

Another great reason to own a hand gun safe is that you will be complying with the increasingly strict regulations coming down the pipeline. States like California have passed laws that will condemn the owner of the weapon if it’s stolen or lost and then used in a crime. By buying a fingerprint gun safe, you maintain rapid access to your gun and also comply with regulations. In most states, you can’t keep a loaded weapon in your front seat. If you had a hand gun safe in your console (such as is available for some SUV’s and other vehicles), you could at least maintain a certain amount of protection for you and your family.

Yet another great use for a hand gun safe is if you already own a larger safe for your valuables, and don’t want to buy another safe just for your hand gun. Maybe others in your family have access to the larger storage safe. Get a hand gun safe that can fit into your larger safe, that way you can safely store your gun. It all depends on what you use your pistol(s) for – obviously you want to keep your gun accessible if it’s for protection. A general suggestion is to buy a biometric gun safe in which you can store your pistol(s) for easy access and safety reasons.

          ]]>

Another concern about the fingerprint gun safe that people often ask is, “What if my wife needs to access the gun and I’m not around?” Technology has already addressed the issue, as many manufacturers are producing locks with a memory that can store several, some even dozens, of fingerprints in memory. The biometric gun safe is the best way to store your hand gun(s), in the opinion of this author.

Buying Tip: Be sure that when you buy a hand gun safe, that the locking mechanism – especially for the biometric models – has a manual or secondary backup. This is a concern with some of the biometric readers on the market (make sure you read plenty of customer reviews), that the reader doesn’t respond on the first read or perhaps the safe wasn’t as top-shelf as you thought and the reader simply won’t work. In such a situation, be sure that the fingerprint gun safe you choose has a manual override of some sort (keys usually).

You also want to be sure that your hand gun safe has a thick-gauge steel, good enough to keep out a thief in the worst case scenario. You don’t want a light weight safe, even if the safe will be portable. These won’t keep out a determined burglar. If you plan on keeping the safe in a fixed location, then be sure it has a bolt-pattern so it can be fixed in place. Buying a fingerprint gun safe with a “security strap” isn’t the same idea…but works if you’re travelling and need some portable, temporary way to keep your weapon safe.

Adding to the security of your hand gun safe is the optional wall safe models available on the market. Not only do they keep your guns out of sight, as well as other personal effects, they can also save space by utilizing the dead space in your wall cavity. These safes can be made to look like the wall, be hidden behind a faux book case, be stored in a closet, or behind the proverbial painting.

If you do store your pistol that you intend to use for protection in a wall safe of this sort, it’s best to get one that has a rapid opening time, within 3-4 second for access should do it. Some models have a fake painting that slides open, but the access may not be as rapid as you may like. Nonetheless, the genius behind this sort of hand gun safe is that you have the added protection of the safe being hidden from plain sight. A thief can’t break into a safe he or she doesn’t see, nor be tempted by a hidden safe they don’t know about.

Typical price ranges for a wall-hidden hand gun safe is about 0. The biometric gun safe in this style ranges from 0-600.

Buying a biometric gun safe is a great choice in hand gun security for reasons previously outlined. You want to be sure when you buy one that your choice of hand gun safe is easy to install. You also want to be sure that you read some reviews on the particular model, verified by other customers who bought the safe, or consumer reports.

Be sure your fingerprint scanner works quickly and accurately, and to be sure of this you should read about the FAR and FRR statistics. “FAR” refers to the “False Access” attempts, and “FRR” refers to the “False Rejection” rate. FAR would indicate the safe allowed an imposter to access the safe, FRR would be when the safe didn’t open for someone who should have access.

Here are a couple of manufacturers that provide a good quality fingerprint gun safe.

First off is GunVault®, which is a highly respected name in the industry of hand gun safe manufacturing. GunVault® uses 4 scanners for their fingerprint gun safes, with a low FRR to FAR ratio. Their interiors are lined and padded, protecting your gun metal or jewelry. According to the manufacturer’s claims, the sensor will work for a full year on the batteries (the GV1000C-DLX or “Mini” runs on 8AA batteries). There is also an alarm that warns of low battery life, and an optional power cord to plug into a wall socket is also included in their deluxe models.

If you were looking for a lightweight, portable hand gun safe with biometric technology, then the GunVault® models of safes are a trusted brand. Their “MicroVault™” biometric gun safe model weighs in at about 5 pounds, making it very portable and versatile as far as mounting or not mounting, as the case may be. It also includes a backup key just in case. It’s considered a “laptop” safe as it’s designed to be about the same size as a laptop computer. The MicroVault™ runs around 0 plus shipping.

Yet another type of fingerprint gun safe is the BioBox®, which is another portable, laptop-style safe. This model is about 0, and runs on 4AA batteries. It has a slim design profile, and with the biometric lock, it affords you the security you’re after in gun storage. This particular safe allows for about 1,000 openings with fresh batteries, which ought to be plenty for about a year’s usage. A nice feature of this particular biometric gun safe is that it allows for multiple users, just in case you wanted to do so.

A third example of a fingerprint gun safe is the BioVault 2.0, or “BVSB1-B.” This weighs in at 0, and allows for more than just your hand gun to be stored. This safe allows you to have 50 different fingerprint profiles stored, so if you wanted to grant that much access to your weapon, then you have the option.

This one’s powered by 3 “D” size batteries, and with normal use should yield about a year’s worth of opening. Fingerprints are scanned quickly – less than a second! – which makes this a certain contender in the field of hand gun safe devices. This model is also backed by the National Rifle Association, which is a hefty and coveted endorsement to say the least!

These were but 3 examples of fine biometric gun safes available for your pistol storage, but there are other fine manufacturers on the market. To name a few: AMSEC® makes a decent model, as does Canon®, Sentry®, Fort Knox®, Adesco®, Stack-On®, Patriot®, Brown Safe Mfg. ®, and Liberty® are other great names in the industry.

First off, what’s the difference between “Gun Safes” and “Gun Cabinets?”

Many people are looking for the one or the other, or begin with buying safes for their hand guns and later need a cabinet to store their hunting rifle and other long guns. So, to be clear, a gun safe is a term that can either be used as an umbrella term to include the larger gun cabinet, or may mean a safe that is smaller but used for hand guns. The difference between a gun safe and a normal safe is that a gun safe is usually customized, or can be, to store a gun. There may be features such as a gun rack, etc., to store your guns properly.

For the remainder of this article, the term “gun safe” will be used to describe both the umbrella category of a safe used to store firearms, regardless of size, and the term “gun cabinet” will be the more specific variety of safe used for long gun storage.

It seems a bit counter-intuitive to think of owning a gun on the one hand, and keeping them locked up in a safe on the other. Why is it a smart idea to have gun safes in the first place, or is it?

In certain municipalities and states, gun owners must keep their firearms locked inside a gun safe. It makes sense from a certain perspective, since you would also want to protect your investment in firearms from theft or damage. Maintaining the value of the valuables inside gun cabinets is a great step to protect the value of your investments. And, of all the varieties of safe on the market, a biometric gun safe may be just what you need.

On top of that – and of course it depends on where you live and the laws you live under – you will need to consider the protection of your family and visitors. The fact is, unfortunately, that kids of all ages have been known to be curious around guns to their own detriment. Overall, accidental deaths caused by the discharge of firearms isn’t very high percentage-wise, traditionally of all the causes of death, the discharge of firearms accidentally ranks less than 1%.

That being said, owning guns means owning gun safes, especially for parents. Statistics notwithstanding, the easiest way a parent can keep his or her guns from the hands of their precious, curious children is to simply lock them up in gun cabinets. Though the odds are small that your child in particular will fall prey to accidental discharge of a firearm, the truth of the matter is that nobody wants to be the parent who wishes they had taken the time to invest in a safe before they realize it’s just too late.

Since safety from intruders is an issue, and quick access is desired, having your guns kept in a biometric gun safe is the best choice. Most of these types of gun safe open rapidly upon biometric feedback, such as fingerprint data, and knowing the combination during a possible break-in may not be the first thing on your mind. Think of that as you make one of the most crucial investments you’ll make.

Consider another fact – if you don’t own any gun cabinets for you long rifles and shot guns, where else will you store them? What about when guests come by? Having a place to store the firearms as well as protecting yourself from accidental discharge are great reasons why owning a proper safe is a great idea.

Consider further, another scenario: you’re on vacation, for days or weeks, it doesn’t matter. A professional thief decides your home is the place to hit next, and notices your absence. In rummaging through your possessions, he or she comes across all sorts of valuables – including your guns.

By simply keeping your firearms in gun safes, stored for future use, this scenario ends at least with you having your guns left behind. Most gun cabinets and gun safes will prove too heavy for the thief/thieves to steal from the premises. With a biometric gun safe, the lock is impossible, in theory, to break. Again, this type of safe may be your best bet.
Now that you know that you need to store your weapons in a safe, what you need to do is go out and buy the next safe you find on clearance, right? Maybe your neighbor is getting rid of his or her gun safes and gun cabinets, and you can snag one for a deal…or maybe you should simply consider the following list of “DOs” when you decide to purchase your gun cabinets or gun safes.

          ]]>

That may seem self-serving on this site, but the truth of the matter is that your gun collection will keep increasing. When you buy gun safes – whether a biometric gun safe or gun cabinets – you’ll wind up using it for a lot more than your guns. That is, unless you want to buy other wall safes and such, but most in the gun safe market tend to use the big gun cabinet for more than firearms. You’ll want to be sure that whatever type of safe you buy, you don’t hold back on the features, such as fire protection, biometric locking mechanism, and the like.

Think of that for a second. Whatever you put in your safe is dear to you, whether it’s high in value or not, it’s got value to you, right? Why wouldn’t you spend the extra money to make sure it stays protected? This isn’t the time to be trying to shave off a buck or two, though if you really do want to save some money, then a used safe is actually a good idea. Safes endure the test of time, unlike most other products. See, if you spend thousands on your hunting gear, on your sites and scopes, you’d expect to pay as much for a good safe. Keep your investment protected from theft and damage, and make sure you buy bigger and better than you think you may need.

You want to be sure you do shop a bit for different brands, as there are plenty of differences in manufacturer. You can be sure that Ft. Knox isn’t Zanotti, nor is Winchester the same company as Browning. In order to remain competitive, like most other manufacturers of commodities, these companies are locked in a game of out-doing one another.

Case in point: Browning offers their own rifle rack that is part of the door, like you’d see in gun lockers on the movies. Zanotti designs their gun cabinets with drawers installed, and thinks about the homeowner who decides to upgrade their home and move out – they’ve designed their safes to be modular. Ft. Knox employs a unique method to attach the fire-proof materials to the safe. Brown is a bit more boutique, in that they offer classy wood shelving, as well as industry-strength theft protection. Another company is Amsec, they offer what they call their “DryLight” insulation, which is a cast product, much like concrete, that out-performs (they claim) the safe manufacturers that use only drywall paneling.

You have to know what you’re buying when it comes to gun safes and their so-called fire-proof walls. You may be getting charged for a layer of gypsum or drywall as it’s called, which is technically fire-resistant up to an hour or two. If that’s the case, then just be sure that the material has been installed the right way. If you also have paper documents or electronic jump drives or other electronic media you’re protecting, then you may think about a safe-within-a-safe: get a safe for these files and documents, and keep them in your gun cabinets. This way you know your important documents and files will be protected twice through.

You’ve seen the movies where the team of highly trained thieves break in and drill through bank vaults, etc. – these aren’t so far-fetched ideas. If you buy a low quality safe, then you can crack into the contents with a cordless drill. You want a safe that comes loaded with armor and other tamper-resistant features, such as drill-resistance. When looking at buying gun cabinets and the like, you want to be sure they come with what are called “re-lockers.” These are pins that are engaged when the thief tries to move the safe or otherwise break in, and can’t be removed without several hours of work. The re-lockers come in various number, from 2 pins on up, depending on the level of need and size.

DON’T store powder in your safe. A tightly-sealed metal box with a large quantity of powder inside is a bomb. Store powder in a separate, lightly-constructed cabinet or wood box. The main thing for powder is to keep it dry and away from moisture and light.

DON’T store large quantities of primers in your safe. If one primer goes off it can detonate others, causing a chain reaction. If you have many thousands of primers, don’t store them all in one corner of your reloading area.

DON’T leave the wooden pallet on your safe and rely on the safe’s mass alone to deter thieves. A 10-year-old kid with a rented pallet jack can move a 1000-pound safe with ease if the pallet is attached and the safe is not bolted down.

DON’T locate your safe in plain view, such as the front of your garage, or corner of your living room. This is just an invitation to theft. And be discrete when you load and unload firearms–so you don’t advertise to the whole neighborhood that you have a large gun collection.

DON’T leave power tools or cutting torches near your safe.

When it comes to making the decision to purchase a http://www.replica-blankguns.com deciding on a website from which to purchase the weapon can be an important part of that choice. Searching for the ideal online shop doesn’t have to be hard. Customers who’ve used www.replica-blankguns.com in the past already know they are the best choice when it comes to finding the right http://www.replica-blankguns.com/blank-guns/blank-firing-guns. The website only offers the highest quality merchandise, and they charge an affordable price which is rare these days. At this website, they can make their purchase of a http://www.replica-blankguns.com/blank-guns/blank-gun with confidence. They don’t have to go through a trial and error experience just to find what they need.

Of course, additional benefits for these http://www.replica-blankguns.com/blank-guns/ exist, too. When it comes to performances, sometimes weapons are needed to make the action look realistic. A fake plastic gun isn’t going to give that authentic feeling to the re-enactment or the performance. Instead, it might actually ruin the whole deal. When the gun shoots blanks, however, the sound and explosion give it a realistic quality that makes the crowd pay attention. Take the Blank Machine Guns, for example, they definitely are a better option than their non-firing brethren and a much safer choice than the real thing for any type of performance.

Safety is a huge reason to invest in non-bullet weapons. For families with kids in the home, loaded guns can be deadly to them or to their friends. Kids are curious, and guns are definitely something few people can resist holding in their hands when they see one. While blanks aren’t perfectly safe, they are less likely to inflict the same level of carnage as real bullets. That’s one of the best reasons to choose a 92 Blank Firing Gun for around the house.

          ]]>

Guns Blank Firing are also a good choice because the ammo is cheaper. Who wants to spend all of that money on bullets just to expend them all in target practice? When it comes to target practice, blanks just make more sense. They are definitely more affordable. They can also be a better choice for any situation in which stopping power or deadly force certainly wouldn’t be necessary. Plus, they can help a shooter improve his or her accuracy so when it comes to holding and firing the real gun each bullet is going to be well spent.

Now that customers know some of the best reasons to choose these weapons over the real deal they can start to appreciate all of the reasons why this website is the best source for a Colt .45 1911 Blank Firing Gun or any other blank shooting weapon on the market. For starters, Replica Blank Guns sells Cheap Blank Firing Guns that aren’t made cheaply. What does that mean exactly? Well, a quick price comparison will show customers that this website offers the best pricing on most models of these weapons when compared to both online and offline stores. But they don’t offer those great prices because they sell shoddy merchandise either. Every weapon available for purchase at the website is of the highest quality material and workmanship. These are weapons shooters would be proud to own.

The decision to purchase a Colt Python 4 357 Magnum Blank Gun 9mm may seem confusing to someone who purchases a real gun. However, there are a wide range of advantages. First, they don’t face quite so many hassles when it comes to the purchase. They don’t have to go through a waiting period. They don’t have to fill out oodles of paperwork, pay extra for a license, or deal with all of the problems associated with securing a gun. If they went to purchase a Beretta Jetfire 950 8mm Blank Gun, for example, they wouldn’t have to worry about any of those things.

The reality is that shopping for Guns Blank used to be more difficult than it is today. A few stores might carry these items, such as the local sporting good outlet store. Gun shops might also carry them, although the competition might keep them relegated to a small corner of the store. Army surplus stores could also provide some, too, but the average person might not really be eager to check out what they have available and may not even have one in their town.

Since shopping offline was so difficult, the advent of online shopping for Browning Aras Swat 9mm Blank Guns for Sale makes things nicer for customers. For one reason, the staff online is more knowledgeable than most of the salespeople working in those locations. That combined with the convenience of buying from home gives customers a great reason to check out this website for their needs.

When it comes to blank shooting handguns, a wide range of options are available. Some customers prefer the Beretta V Cougar Blank Guns 9mm while others prefer the P 38 8mm Blank Guns or something altogether different. The millimeters measurement refers to the diameter of the barrel that, of course, tells the customer a lot about the size of the blank. When it comes to which size is the best for these guns, the choice is really one of personal preference.

One idea is to pick a blank firing version of a gun the customer already owns. That way the bullet shooting version can be safely tucked away but the customer can use the blank shooting version to improve his or her aim and proficiency. Doing some research on the history of the weapons being used in the stage production or re-enactment can also help customers decide on the best piece for their needs. And, of course, they can always ask the knowledgeable staff here at Replica-Blank Guns for help identifying the best Western Peacemaker Blank Gun Firing model.

Fewer hassles, greater convenience, and lower prices are just some of the advantages customers can expect when purchasing these weapons over the real things. When they decide to go the .389 Olympic 6 Blank Gun Firing route, they’ve come to the right website for making their purchase.

This “one gun” will need to be capable of taking both small and large game and for use as a defensive weapon if need be.

Though the .22 has been used to take game animals both large and small it is sorely lacking as a combat round. Because of this, I would look elsewhere for a one gun battery.

I will also rule out center fire rifles as they just are not practical enough to hunt different types of game animals efficiently. For the bugging out and possibly living off the land for a short period of time the center fire rifle does not offer enough versatility for taking of game, especially small game.

          ]]>

For the one gun armory the must look no further than the 12 gauge shotgun. With the option of different barrel lengths, many stock options and removable chokes to change shot patterns there is not much that cannot be done with these guns out to 100 yards and possibly beyond depending on load selection.

There are many different loads to choose from for the 12 gauge. There are a variety of slugs (solid projectile) to choose between for hunting game, such as bear and deer out to 150 yards. These same slugs can be used to turn any shotgun into a very formidable weapon.

Where the shotgun really shines though is in the large variety of shot sizes it has available to it. Shot shells containing a load of shot (made up of many pellets rather than a solid slug) can be used for hunting small game and migratory game birds. Some larger shot sizes such as Buckshot can be used effectively on large game animals and is a top choice for a defensive round.

Most Patriots seem to gravitate towards pump action shotguns, probably due to there low cost and high reliability. The Remington model 870 and Mossberg 500 lead the pack for pump shotguns in America. Both companies make quality pump shotguns and have a very devoted fan base for each model. I do not think you can make a bad choice between the two.

#1- Shoot your friends

For some this may sound obvious and typical, but to the outside world this may seem cruel and usual. Now we don’t condone you shooting at innocent friends or bystanders, we do however endorse you having fun with friends but only if they are armed and can protect themselves. Unless they deserve it than fire away. Shooting games with friends, partners, and relatives has been a pastime for years for hundreds of thousands growing munchkins. Trust me when I say this game never gets old. Wake your brother or friend up by firing a round of caps at them, and see how fast they runaway.

#2- Play imaginary Games

Everyone and their mother have played these games as children, and still some of us as adults. Games like Cops and Robbers or Cowboys and Indians are sketched in our minds forever of nostalgic feelings and thoughts. Growing up every kid played these games with either their siblings, neighborhood friends, or family members during summer, around the house, during holidays or on family trips. Any scenario was possible in these days and still is, as we pretended like we were being chased by the heat or in a fiery gun battle with notorious outlaws.

          ]]>

#3- Try some Customizing

Well of course this makes sense! Why not dress up your cap gun with a detachable laser or scope? Finding your target has never been easier with the new and improved technology for these guns. Depending on the size, cap guns can hold a variety of accessories. Plus many cap guns can be updated with newer and colorful styles. This helps out the #2 idea out by making things look more realistic and the ability to personalize your arsenal for any event possible. Stand out from the crowd with something different.

#4- Gift?

Hey Why not?! Many people don’t realize these are perfect gifts for anyone and many cost less than a birthday card nowadays. Cap guns can easily fit for Christmas stocking stuffers, Easter prizes, Labor Day and 4th of July celebrations, as well as Grandma’s house on Thanksgiving. Don’t underestimate the Cap Gun. These babies are very affordable and will always surprise you with unexpected entertainment. I got one for a friend of mine’s kid last Christmas, and his parents rave how he wont put it down.

#5- Tricks

Learn to master your gun by doing an assortment of tricks like twirling them, tossing them from hand to hand, or perfecting your draw. Grab a friend with cap guns and see who can pull the guns out and fire the quickest. If you don’t already, get a holster to use for carrying your cap gun and perfecting the millions of tricks possible. Act out old Western movies by being quick on the trigger and even quicker on the draw. If you want to be a real gunslinger you need to know how to handle your steel.
